February Missions Spotlight
Courtney Trew

The Himba people are a semi-nomadic, indigenous people group living in parts of Namibia and Angola.

The essential belief of the Himba people is ancestor worship.

The Himba people are primarly oral learners and do not have God’s Word in their language.

Over 7,300 languages are spoken or signed around the world.

Over 1,200 languages do not have any form of scripture translated!

That’s over 99.8 MILLION people that do not have access to God’s Word.

PRAY – Spend time praying for street children across the world and for Stan and Janet as they continue to rescue, care for, and disciple street children in Honduras. Use the prayer points on each week’s prayer card as a guide.

GIVE – Give towards the oral translation project for the Himba people.

**Our oral translation project will kick off March 2 during Impact Conference, so begin praying now about what God would have you give towards making His Word available to the Himba people!

ENGAGE – Engage with family and friends about Bible translation around the world and the Himba people. Be sure to use the Family Table Talk topics on the back of each week’s prayer card!
