SUMMER 2020 MISSION TRIPS

Due to the current global health crisis relating to COVID-19, all short-term mission trips have been cancelled through the end of August. Through prayer and careful consideration of various challenges and risks associated with travel and social interaction, our pastors and missions leadership have determined this to be the best course of action.

Making the Decision to Cancel Summer Mission Trips

– Prioritizing health and safety concerns for trip participants.

– Respecting social distancing and stay-at-home restrictions in the U.S and abroad.

– Acknowledging personal finance and support-raising challenges due to the poor economy.

– Avoiding the possibility of spreading COVID-19 among the communities we intend to serve.

– Heeding recommendations from prominent missions agencies.

– Practicing biblical wisdom and discernment.

Options for Mission Trip Deposits and Donations

– Leave all current funds in a “personal account” for a future mission trip with Silverdale.

– Donate all current funds to the ministry that you were planning to serve with.

– Donate all current funds to the general missions budget.

– Request a refund.

Please let us know how to handle your funds by emailing missions@silverdalebc.com.
