  • Our memory verse:
“Be strong and courageous. Do not be afraid...for the Lord your God goes with you." Deuteronomy 31:6, NIV
  • Our key question:
“Who can help you be brave?”
  • Our bottom line:
“God can help me be brave.”
  • Our basic truth:
    “God Made Me.”

</strong>

This weekend’s Bible Story and Scripture Passage are:
Jesus Calmed a Storm; Matthew 8, Mark 4, Luke 8

  • The Big Picture Question:
Is the Bible true? Yes, the Bible is true and has no error.
  • Key Passage:
“The grass withers, the flowers fade, but the word of our God remains forever." Isaiah 40:8
  • Story Point:
Jesus calmed a storm to show the disciples He is God.
  • Christ Connection:
The disciples saw that Jesus has power over nature. He is the Son of God, the promised Savior. One day Jesus would show His greatest power - not by calming a storm, but by dying on the cross and rising from the dead to save people from their sin. Jesus saves everyone who trusts in Him.

  • Question To Ask:
The disciples asked Jesus if he cared that they were all going to die in the storm. Do you ever feel like God doesn’t care about your situation? What truth can you call to mind to remind you that God always cares about us?
