This weekend’s Bible Story and Scripture Passage are:
Jesus and the Samaritan woman; John 4

  • The Big Picture Question:
    Did Jesus ever sin? No, Jesus never sinned. 
  • Key Passage:
    "You know that he was revealed so that he might take away sins, and there is no sin in him.” 1 John 3:5 (CSB) 
  • Story Point: 
    Jesus told the Samaritan woman that He is the Messiah.
  • Christ Connection:
    Jesus pointed out the Samaritan woman’s sin so that she could believe He is the Messiah. The Holy Spirit shows us our sin so that we might turn away from it and turn to Jesus to be saved. Anyone who trusts in Jesus receives the Holy Spirit and eternal life.
